Built in 1880, the Meat Market is a grade one heritage listed building with enormous character and history.

Located in North Melbourne, the Meat Market offers a wide range of spaces suitable for a number of uses including performances, community events, conferences, filming and rehearsals. Just a short walk away from Errol Street, the Meat Market is surrounded by great cafes and boasts North Melbourne's signature charm.

The Meat Market has two pavilion spaces and a meeting room available for hire, as well as office spaces available through Creative Spaces.

The two large pavilions can accommodate a variety of occasions, from intimate, technically simple performances and rehearsals to complex, large-scale productions.

The main pavilions are suitable for dance, music, physical theatre, multimedia, spoken word, choir, chamber music, circus, corporate functions, large scale events and public meetings.

The meeting room is a carpeted space with projection equipment available for use, suitable for auditions, rehearsals, workshops, seminars and meetings.

We look forward to welcoming you into our community space for all types of events. To keep updated on what's on at the Meat Market like us on Facebook and click here
