Voters Voice
The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) has created a fantastic app called Voters Voice, and we need your help to spread the word.
The app helps people participate in the 2018 Victorian State election, which is on Saturday 24 November.
Voters Voice is specifically designed for people who:
have complex communication needs
have low literacy
have low English language ability
use Auslan.
The key feature of the app is an electronic communication board, which is complemented by State election information in various formats (plain English, Easy English, audio, video and Auslan).
It also includes:
a voting centre locator (which goes live on 31 October) to find the nearest early and election day voting centres
multiple profile capability
a Victorian enrolment checker
in-app functionality to request an enrolment form be sent to you.
If you know someone who could benefit from downloading this free app, please forward this email onto them, or download it yourself and show them the features in person!
If you would like to share information about Voters Voice with your community, please find a Communication Pack (attached) to guide you.
